That being said, if you own something like Corel VideoStudio Ultimate, you can design things in that editor on top of a Transparent background and then use it in other NLEs as Overlays, etc. Not sure about Transitions, since I don't tend to you many different ones. If you're into Plug-Ins, get your wallet ready. Other than that, my luck with those has been less successful.
Plug-Ins: Ignite Express 2017 has about 90 OpenFX Plug-Ins that work in Resolve. Honestly, I wouldn't want to dump much more than that on myself, at the start. ~15GB of Royalty-Free "Starter" Content, in all. I know I found about 150 decent free LUTs in one evening of searching, plus a lot of Overlays, Templates, Sound Effects, Music Tracks, etc. Would take too much effort to list them all here, or even a fraction of them.
